I write about the past, present, and future of technology across three sites. imapenguin.com explores retro computing and programming fundamentals, milkcrunch.com covers modern software development and engineering culture, and evadot.com examines commercial spaceflight and the new space movement.

- My sprites sorta look like my Zenith, not bad for the first crack at it. #commodore #c64 #myzenith750

- Did you do that on real hardware? · imapenguin
- The new video series has been in production while on my "break" (I've never been good at breaks anyway). I've forgotten how long post-production takes even with great tools. Anyway, very pleased so far.
- My Color Maximite 2 and Raspberry Pi 400 are sharing this 8 inch screen now. Perfect setup for both machines and doesn’t take up a ton of room.

- I haven’t been able to get over the USB-C only ports on my MacBook. Seems like a good idea on the drawing board, but practically it’s a mess. God forbid you want to use your laptop in your lap AND plug in an SD card at the same time. #willibreakittoday

- After all there’s only 10 more sleeps ‘til Christmas.
- The view

- In case you were wondering, RedHat 5.2 from 1998 will not boot on a @system76 Laptop from 2016 without some kernel trickery. I’m not giving up though.
- Working on my project to recreate my first Linux install close to how I remember it. Would you consider it cheating if I replaced the marginally flakey 30 year old hard drive with an IDE to SD card adapter?
